Voluntary & Community
OCN North East Region is firmly committed to working with Voluntary and Community Sector organisations in the North East. We provide an accreditation service to a wide range of over 120 organisations that use innovative methods to engage, motivate and educate learners. Our community-based providers have a long history of developing skills and capacity, promoting economic regeneration and contributing to economic and social inclusion.
Working with OCN North East Region enables Voluntary and Community organisations to offer accredited learning that is:
- Quality assured to a high standard
- Responsive to individual needs
- Flexible and adaptable
- Unitised and credit rated
- Able to provide real opportunities for progression into work, volunteering and further learning
Activities can vary widely and can include courses from Advocacy to Enterprise, Employment Skills to Community Arts, Healthy Eating to Dry Stone Walling. Organisations can offer anything from one or two specialist Units, to a vast range of National Qualification Units that provide learners with the chance to gain QCF qualifications.
