Trustee Recruitment
There are currently four vacancies on the Board and we are therefore interested in hearing from individuals, or from suitable organisations that could then be asked to nominate a candidate, for consideration by the Board.
One position is for an elected trustee and this is open to staff currently working within member organisations and is subject to a nomination process. The remaining three vacancies are for co-opted trustees who are appointed by the Board.
If you are passionate about learning and would like to be involved with OCN North East Region at a strategic level then the Board of Trustees would like to hear from you. Knowledge and understanding of the 14-19 and adult learning and skills sectors is critical however we would particularly welcome interest from individuals with skills in the following areas:
- Strategic Financial Management
- Marketing
- Media/Public Relations
- Charity Regulation and Governance
As a regional charity we seek to ensure that our Board is representative of its service users and are also keen to recruit individuals from the following sectors and regions:
- Higher Education
- Local Authority
- Further Education
- Large Employer
- Co Durham
- Northumberland
The Board meets up to five times a year, including attendance at the AGM. The post is unremunerated although travel and out of pocket expenses are paid.
