Undertaking an Internal Standardisation event
Aims
To understand the purpose and principles of standardisation and support tutors or IVs in ensuring that samples within standardisation are reliable, transparent, equitable sufficient and rigorous.
Sessions are designed for any individual who is currently undertaking the tutor or internal verifier role and who would like to develop and improve their own practice or their organisational policies. These sessions are also designed to offer support for any centres where relevant issues have been raised within their quality Improvement plans.
Target Group
This session is suitable for all tutors and Internal Verifiers who will be involved in the planning or running of standardisation events for OCN courses.

To support the development of appropriate standardisation.

- Appreciate the purpose & benefits of standardisation
- Outline the NOCN regulatory requirements for standardisation of assessment.
- Explain the key principles of standardisation practice
- Practice standardisation planning
