Assessment Practice Development (Workshop)

Aims

Sessions are designed for any individual who is currently undertaking the assessor role and who would like to develop and improve their own practice or their organisational policies. The session is also designed to offer support for any centres where relevant issues have been raised within their quality Improvement plans.

Session is delivered through a workshop style. Each session will allow for queries raised through practice to be discussed and resolved. Participants are encouraged to bring examples of good practice to the sessions

Workshops will also concentrate on a theme, such as:

  • Developing assessment methods
  • Application of policies such as reasonable adjustments, access to fair assessment, or malpractice.
  • New requirements or updates from NOCN (if applicable)

Target Group

Staff who are familiar and experienced with OCN assessment procedures.

Objective

To support the development of good practice in assessment.

Session Content

  • Recap the purpose and principles of assessment
  • Explore and resolve queries areas of concern in relation to assessment practice
  • Share areas of practice
  • Explore assessment planning in relation to identified topic

Cost

Free to member organisations as part of the annual membership fee.
