OCN North East Region has a long history of helping people back into education when they felt it wasn’t for them. We are now able to share this expertise with staff working with young people aged 14 years and over. Our innovative approach to accreditation supports young people to gain qualifications at their own pace, Unit by Unit, helping them to gain confidence in their own abilities and move on to more challenging learning.
Specially designed Qualifications can combine personal skills development with learning in work related areas. The STEP UP Qualifications recognise skills gained as part of Work Experience, or in voluntary or community activity, and can provide School Performance Points. Available in a range of levels, they can be used as additional learning for students requiring support in particular areas of study.
