Funding Information

Learning can be paid for in lots of different ways:

  • The government has responsibility for some areas of learning. Government departments fund schools, colleges and some additional learning organisations. They also develop projects that target particular areas of learning. For information on statutory funding go to http://skillsfundingagency.bis.gov.uk/
  • Learning that is needed by businesses and employers to help them grow and develop can often be funded through the Train to Gain initiative. For more info go to http://www.traintogain.gov.uk/

  • Learning can be delivered by Voluntary and Community Organisations with project funding. For information about funding for Voluntary and Community Organisations go to http://www.fundingcentral.org.uk/
